Types Of Crusher Machines
1. Jaw Crusher
The jaw crusher machines use a compressive force to break up particles. The mechanical pressure occurs when the 2 jaws on the crusher, one which is fixed and the other which reciprocates. The toggle or jaw crusher is made up of vertical jaws, 1 is stationary, and the other jaw is known as the swing jaw that moves back-and-forth with the use of a pitman or cam mechanism. The cavity or volume between these 2 jaws is known as the crushing-chamber. Inertia needed to crush up the materials comes from the weighted flywheel which moves the shaft and creates the eccentric motion that results in closing this gap.
2. Gyratory Crusher
Gyratory crushers are similar to the basic concepts of the jaw rock crusher screen, and are made up of a conical-head and concave surface, with both surfaces usually lined with a manganese-steel surface. The inner-cone features a circular movement, but doesn’t rotate, and the movements are generated by eccentric arrangements. Similar to the jaw-crusher, the materials travel downwards towards the 2 surfaces that are progressively crushed. The crushing continues until the materials are reduced in size so that they can fall through the gap that occurs between these 2 surfaces.
3. Cone Crusher
Due to the progressive developments in association to the mining technology, cone crushers are divided into 4 types.
